I've always liked plague marines and the death guard because Nurgle is by far the most awesome of the dark gods.

I just finished painting a bunch of Black Legion plague marines with good trim, and honestly you made the right call here. Gold looks nice, but it sorta detracts from the weathered look of a plague marine. Reply More posts you may like.

I find it amusing that Plague Marines in a Black Legion detachment (assuming Battle-Forged) have a higher Leadership than Plague Marines in a Death Guard detachment (same assumption). Also, I miss the days when all of the Cult Troops (Plague Marines, Thousand Sons, Khorne Berzerkers, and Noise Ma.

What? One is black legion one is death guard. You aren't "loosing" anything if you drop a battalion in BL to take a vanguard to use plagues? Makes 0 sense. Just add a unit of plauges onto your battalion, or take a battalion and a vanguard? Then you are gaining a CP. KDobias • 4 yr. ago

It's worth noting that with the new Chaos Space Marines codex, Noise Marines, Plague Marines, Berzerkers and Rubric Marines are available to a much wider range of Chaos Legions. Is there any value in taking Plague Marines in a Black Legion force? I have the dark imperium box but I have been building a Black Legion force for some time.
